Drama series about the Medici dynasty set against the artistic backdrop of the beautiful city of Florence in the 15th century. The House of Medici was an Italian banking family, political dynasty and later royal house that first gathered prominence under Cosimo de' Medici who was elected head of the Florentine Republic in 1434.
