During an air raid in Piccadilly, London, she meets Captain Alan Pearson (Wilding) and the pair quickly fall in love and marry. They enjoy a two-day honeymoon before Diana must depart for Singapore. When Alan receives news that the ship that was transporting the Wrens was torpedoed and that there were no survivors, he loses all hope of finding his wife and remarries.
