When rebellious and troublesome teen Mika is sent to her ex-Olympian grandmother's for the summer, she encounters a beautiful but wild stallion called Windstorm. Seen by her parents as a time for her to introduce some much needed structure and discipline into her life, she actually discovers a new best friend in Windstorm and together they try and make sense of the world. But when her grandmother threatens to get rid of Windstorm due to his unpredictable and dangerous behaviour, Mika must risk all to save her new friend.
